Dear diary,
I don't know why I hardly write about exciting things. The dull things come to my mind when I write in you, and that's pretty much it. But yesterday was very cool (in my opinion). I went hunting with Emmett. And if you know Emmett, you would know that he was laughing and joking the whole time, while I remained quiet. Sometimes I just don't get him, but that's fine. We decided to go to the mountains today, instead of the normal spot. We were running up the mountain, and he pretended that the rocks were going to hit him. Classic Emmett joke. He also pretended that a bear was going to maul him... again. We found some mountain lions and that was our first feed. The blood wasn't very sweet but it was still good and satisfying. We both got one more and decided to head back. I caught an unfamiliar scent on the way back. Definitely a vampire though. Maybe a newborn? Or a nomad? I couldn't tell. Or maybe just someone who's curious. You never know. When we got back to the house, Renesmee was on the porch with Jacob. Ughh, he was back. I acknowledged him and walked inside. Edward came right over to me. "Something's wrong." he said. I didn't know what he meant or who he was talking to. "What?" I asked. "I was just outside and nothing was wrong, but I did pick up an unfamiliar scent..." He frowned. "That's the thing, one of the newborns was here." he said. I was confused. "But that doesn't make sense, we caught all of them!" I said. If this was true, I was so mad! This doesn't happen. I checked and checked! "Apparently, one must have escaped. He's still alive and the only reason that I know this for a fact is that he still had the faintest smell of Bella's blouse." he said, his mouth a hard line. I was enraged, this isn’t supposed to happen! I stomped up the stairs and into my room. I shut the door. Just calm down, I said to myself. Everything will be just fine. There was a knock at the door. "Come in" I said. I will write when I calm down a little bit. ~Jasper
