Dear Diary
Over the past 200 years I have been studying to become a doctor. I have also moved in with the Volturi and am living with them now. Not sure how long I will be staying here for. They are not sure what to make of my vegetarian diet and have been trying to convert me over to the vampire way of life. But I will not turn after going this long with not killing a single human. Every time they are feeding I must leave the room seeing as how I can not stand watching them kill humans. Marcus, Aro and Caius are the three most extraordinary vampires I have ever met. The castle they live in is really impressive. I do not know what to compare the size to. My room is quite the room. I have stocked my room with a nice looking chair and every single book I have read as a vampire. The city Volterra is quite a busy city, with all the people wearing the red capes thinking that vampires are no longer in the city. Well Aro wants to talk to me. Until next time Carlisle

So I have now been a vampire for 27 years. Time is now meaningless to me seeing as how I will never die. I am still in Africa where I can still hunt animals all I want. I have been able to control my thirst for human blood a lot better now. Even when I get a scent of human blood I do not have to run away as quickly now. I am able to go somewhat close to it before it starts to get to me. Every once in a while I will go to a city, in the evening of course so I do not expose myself, and have as much contact with humans as I can. Over the last few years I have ran into a few different covens of vampires, but there was this one coven that I have stayed in contact with. They are known as the Potter clan. They are a group of 5 vampires Martin, Marie, Terrisa, Kayla and Gary. Kayla has an amazing gift. She is able to make see what she wants them to see. It really is a remarkable power. She used on me the first time I met them and made me believe I was being chased by a pack of werewolves. She is one person I would not want to upset. They live up in Egypt and seeing as how distance is also not a concern, I go up there quite a bit and enjoy time with them. They have tried my vegetarian diet but are not quite sure yet. I have a feeling though that they will turn and live my lifestyle. I do have to go hunt now since it has been a few days since I have. Until next time -Carlisle Diary
I decided to go to Volterra to see what the city of vampires is like. It is a pretty big city. While I was there I had to stay out of the sun due to the fact that there are humans there, even though it is the city of vampires. The people here wear red coats in celebration of the termination of vampires from the city. I think it pretty ironic that they think that vampires do not live here anymore when they really run the city. I did have the honor of meeting the Volturi. They are a good size group of vampires. There are only 3 vampires that are in charge and their names are Aro, Marcus and Caius. Aro and Marcus have special abilities. Aro is able to see what anyone has ever thought in their entire life with just one touch. Marcus is able to feel the strength of relationships. Then there are the guards to the Volturi. The two top offensive guards to the Volturi are Jane and Alec. Jane and Alec also have special powers. Jane is and to inflict excruciating pain mentally and Alec is able to cut off all senses. I am thinking of going back to Volterra soon to learn more about the Volturi. Until next time -Carlisle Diary
Last time I wrote I was thinking about moving to somewhere in Africa. Since then I have. It actually is very nice out here. I hunt when I need to and I can run anywhere I want as fast as I can, without being caught by humans. I have run into a few other vampires while out here and I noticed something different about them. Their eyes were red, unlike my golden and sometimes black eyes. I guess vampires’ eye color depends on what they feed on. When I met the other vampires they told me about this group called the Volturi, they are the “Royal Family” of the vampires. They supposedly keep the vampire laws in order, which I had no idea vampires even had laws. One of the laws that I just figured out is the secret of our lives. If any human was to figure out about our existence then that person is to either die, or become a vampire themselves. Another is giving false information to the Volturi. That is punishable by death, and apparently the only way a vampire can die is by being torn apart and all the body parts burned. Also we are not aloud to hunt in Volterra, the city where the Volturi live. Vampires are also not allowed to form alliances with werewolves due to Caius, a member of the Volturi, almost being killed by one. He spearheaded a movement to kill all werewolves. There are also immortal children, who are young children being turned into vampires, and they are not to be created. That also is punishable by death for the child and the creator, along with anyone trying to protect the child. These are all the laws that I know of so far. Now it is time for me to go hunt. Until next time, Carlisle Diary,
So it has been a few weeks since I found out about being able to survive off of animal blood. It has not been easy to control my thirst for human blood but it has been manageable. I have been thinking about moving to a more animal populated area to see what different animals taste like, but I have to look into different areas. Maybe somewhere in Africa where I can also enjoy the scenery while still getting the blood I need. I’ll update with where I moved next time. -Carlisle Diary
So I have been this monster for a month now. For the first 3 weeks I was disgusted by myself more than anyone could possibly imagine. I hated myself so much for what I have become. I even went to the measures of trying to kill myself. The first thing I tried was to drown myself. This had no effect what so ever. It only taught me that vampires do not need to breath. So the next way I tried was by jumping off a cliff. To my astonishment every single way I threw myself off I landed on my feet, without a scratch. Another way I tried was by going out into the sunlight, hoping I would burst into flames. Yet the only thing that happened was that I started to sparkle like glitter. The final way I decided to try was by starvation. The only thing that did was make my hunger for blood that much more consuming. The only way I could control the severe blood lust was by hiding in a cave far away from humans. To my surprise I have found a way to survive without taking human life. Instead of feeding on humans, I feed on animals. I found this out a week ago when a pack of wild deer came across the cave I was hiding in. Lucky for me the blood satisfied me long enough to clear my head. I now know that I do not have to be a total monster and am able to live off of animal blood. So I will try this out and see how it works for me. Well, I’m starting to get thirsty again so I am going to go see if I can find any more animals to feed on. So till next time. -Carlisle
